MWF enters the facebook world
Facebook, the social networking phenomenon that brings old friends together is the latest tool to Montana Wildlife Federation’s outreach tool kit. It allows us to reach out to our members in a more user friendly venue than our regular email updates, website updates, or newsletter. While some of our more venerable members might scowl and scoff at the use of what is often described as a good way to find out what your kids are eating or where the big party is, Facebook provides MWF a unique opportunity to reach out to people around the world who love wildlife, Montana, hunting and fishing. Facebook allows us to reach people that might not otherwise know what we do or that we exist.
Facebook provides a venue where our members can interact with other members, staff and board members about their latest ventures, issues, and outdoor pursuits. It allows them to share stories, photographs and musings at their own pace. For MWF staffers it allows us to get the word out about upcoming meetings, important deadlines for topics such as license tentative’s, Land Banking purchases, and a host of other issues and news stories as they come along.
If you are already a Facebook member, search for Montana Wildlife Federation, and if you’re not on Facebook, join in, and join the fun! You never know, you might just meet that long lost relative or friend that thinks you still owe them $20 or who is planning a fishing trip in Montana.
